Manju Devi

Manju is a mother of two. After losing her husband to tuberculosis in 2019, Manju was left alone to fend for her family. She started cultivating on her land and working in neighbouring farmlands as agricultural labour. However, uncertain weather and seasonal income left her in a dire financial state during the lean periods. Fast forward to after joining the pulses unit. Manju’s life has transformed for the better. She begins her day at 9.30 am and ends at 5.30 pm. She has learned how to operate all of the machines at the unit and earns a steady monthly income of Rs.6000 with which she runs her household.
